Types of recyclable plastics and their uses

Polyethylene (PE): This type of plastic is one of the most used by the industry, these are its main variations:

HDPE (high density polyethylene): It is waterproof, rigid, has chemical and mechanical resistance. This type of polyethylene originates, toilet seats, toys, baby bath, among others. Due to its chemical resistance it is widely used in packaging of cleaning products.
LDPE (low density polyethylene): This material is non-toxic, flexible and, therefore, it is widely used to produce market bags, diaper packs, garbage bags, the packaging where we put the hospital serum and many other things present in our daily.

Polipropileno (PP): Existem 2 tipos de polipropileno são eles:

Polipropileno homopolímero: Através dele é possível fabricar dobradiças,autopeças, fibras e monofilamentos. Esse tipo de plástico se comparado ao PEAD apresenta maior ponto de amolecimento, maior dureza superficial e é mais sensível à oxidação.
Polipropileno Copolímero: O copolímero, tipo de plástico encontrado em utilidades domésticas, é transparente, tem maior flexibilidade e resistência mecânica que o homopolímero.

Polietileno Tereftalato (PET): É resistente ao impacto, leve e transparente.

Podemos encontrar esse tipo de plástico em garrafas de refrigerante, água, diversos tipos de embalagens de supermercado, frascos de produtos de beleza e higiene, entre outros.
